Do you have a battery backup to provide protection against surges when turned off?
I have a battery backup UPS 1000VA or at home. I have basic devices connected to it as my cable modem, computer and LCD monitor. I was out of town for a weekend and go before I changed my device is on the UPS, but left connected to the output. At other times, I left town, I shut everything off and unplug the UPS wall, but this time I want to disconnect for any reason, my back, my computer does not start because of the power is completely dead. Support UPS said the technician must be enabled to provide overvoltage protection. Is this true?
If people support it corect .......... if the UPS is off and provides no protection against overvoltage ............... and in any case it is recommended to unplug the plug from the wall if you go long
